Welcome to Day 3 of the UTHSC Health Sciences Library Research Impact Challenge! Today we will explore how open access publishing may help increase the impact of your work.
OA publishing is a transformative model that has the potential to significantly amplify the impact of your research by providing unrestricted access to your articles. By removing traditional barriers such as paywalls, OA enables a broader and more diverse audience, including researchers, educators, policymakers, and the general public. In this way, OA not only enhances the visibility and reach of individual articles but also engenders collaborative opportunities and cross-disciplinary exchanges. Additionally, OA may facilitate greater citation rates (aka "Citation Advantage") and citation diversity, increasing the influence and relevance of your research.
