There are two certifying bodies for the adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner. They are American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). I encourage you to go onto the websites and look around.
When you pass ANCC you will have the title of AGACNP
When you pass AACN you will have the title of ACNP-AG
