PubMed automatically defaults to the Basic Search mode as shown below. Users may retrieve results by entering in one or more search terms. The basic search feature is useful for quick and/or simple searches. Entering in terms in the basic search box also initiates the system's auto-complete function that makes suggestions based on your input. You may then choose to continue using your term(s) or go with one of the suggested terms.
