Google Scholar allows you to easily and broadly search a wide variety of scholarly literature, including articles, theses, dissertations, books, abstracts, and more. Results may include full text or metadata only, and are pulled from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites. Google Scholar also provides free author profiles which can be claimed and used as a source of popular impact metrics such as h-indices and citation counts.
