Scholarly Publishing

This is a guide to help our faculty, staff, and students identify publishing opportunities in their field

Scholarly Publishing Support

By supporting researchers throughout the scholarly publishing process, the UTHSC Health Sciences Library supports the University’s mission and the mission of the UT System.  It is our goal to aid researchers in the communication and dissemination of their discoveries and new knowledge in order to improve the well-being of Tennesseans and the global community. We are available to answer any questions or concerns that arise throughout the publishing process, including:

  • Locating and evaluating journals in which to publish
  • Copyright and Fair Use questions
  • Assisting in the evaluation of author's contracts
  • Increasing your impact by making your work widely available
  • Registering for an ORCID iD

To learn more about specific resources and tools available to help you in these areas, please view the tabs on the left side of this guide or contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

We are happy to offer workshops for your class or department on any of these topics.  Please feel free to contact your department's liaison librarian to discuss the ways the library can assist you in identifying publishing opportunities for your research.
