Answers to Request Articles FAQs

Q: Can the library email me an article available in its print collection?

A: Yes. Upon request, the library will scan and PDF the article to you. You will need to log in the library with your NetID and password to complete the document delivery request form. For detailed information, please visit https://library.uthsc.edu/services/photocopying/

Q: What if an article I needed is not available in the library? 

A: You will have to request interlibrary loan (ILL) with your NetID and password to get the article. There is a fee for non-UT patrons. See details https://library.uthsc.edu/services/ill/

Q: How should I pay for an interlibrary loan order? 

A: ILL service is free for UTHSC faculty, staff and students. Non-UT personnel pay $10 per request, and an additional $10 for each rush request. You can pay by check or by cash when you receive a bill from the library. 

Q: Can I pay for the interlibrary loan order by a credit card?

A: No. The library only accepts cash or check to pay for the interlibrary loan service.
