    The app is a translator for history-taking and physical exam application for non-English speaking patients. Only available for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch.

  7. OSHA Heat Safety Tool (free)

    The app from the Occupational Safety & Health Administration calculates the heat index at work sites, and, based on the heat index, displays a risk level to outdoor workers. It also provides protective measures such as training on heat illness signs and symptoms and monitoring each other for signs and symptoms of heat-related illness.

    From a desktop/laptop computer, Go to UpToDate. Enter NetID and password.
    Click the button 'Login/register" in the top right and create a free personal account.

  10. NABITA Threat Assessment Tool App (the National Behavioral Intervention Association) (Free)

    The app is an automated version of NaBITA’s resource document 21 Questions: A Supplemental Flowchart for the NaBITA Threat Assessment Tool, created to help Behavioral Intervention Teams use the NaBITA tool more consistently with each of the cases that come across the team’s radar. The app can be downloaded to team members’ IOS devices and then used to help guide the user to rate student, faculty and staff behavior on the D-Scale, Generalized Risk Scale and Hostility and Violence Scale. The app asks a series of questions to the user and then produces a summary page that can be “screen captured” and then emailed to be saved in the BIT’s electronic database.
