Library Licensed Mobile Resources

  1. AccessMedicine​

    AccessMedicine Full Site Access e-textbooks, quick references, patient education, self assessments, cases, and videos from a web browser on all devices with NetID login. 

    AccessMedicine App: Featured Quick Medical Dx & Rx, Fitzpatrick's Color Atlas of Clinical Dermatology, Differential Diagnosis Tool, and Diagnostic Tests.To activate and for continued access to the app, the user must have an active My Access account and sign in every 90 days through UTHSC computers. Sign up for a free My Access account by clicking on the UTHSC logo in the upper right hand corner of AccessMedicine Page from one of the library computers.

  2. CINAHL Mobile

    Full Site via UTHSC Library: From your device web browser, go to CINAHL. Enter NetID and password to access full text.

    Download mobile apps: From your device web browser, go to CINAHL. Enter NetID and password. Click the button "iPhone and Android apps" at the very bottom of the page. Enter your UTHSC email address to receive instructions, authentication key, and a link to download the app Check your email inbox for instructions

  3. ClinicalKey

    On a desktop or laptop, go to ClinicalKey and register a personal account with your UTHSC email as username. 

    NOTE: once registered you must also request remote access for your email address at https://www.clinicalkey.com/#!/remote-access , however you must use the non-proxied link.  The remote access request won't work if you are logged in through proxy: www-clinicalkey-com.ezproxy.uthsc.edu

    You will then receive an email with link to click to confirm your request. You'll need to do this within 60 minutes.

  4. MobileMicromedex

    From your device web browser, go to Micromedex. Enter NetID and password. Click the button "Download Mobile Apps."  Available mobile apps include drug reference, drug interactions, and IV Compatibility. Follow instructions to activate mobile access on your device. Note that you will be asked to update your passcode on an annual basis. Once the current password nears expiration, the app will remind you to enter a new one. At that time, log in to Micromedex and obtain the new passcode.

  5. PubMed Mobile via UTHSC
    From your device browser, search PubMed mobile for full text available at UTHSC Health Sciences Library. Login with NetID and password.

  6. SciFinder
    Open SciFinder web access registration form and click Next.
    Follow the on screen instruction to complete the registration. The registration process requires uthsc.edu, mc.utmck.edu, or utmck.edu e-mail account. You will receive an e-mail from CAS to complete the registration.
    From your device web browser. go to http://scifinder.cas.org/mobile. Enter your username and password.
  7. STAT!Ref Nursing

    On a desktop/laptop computer, go to STAT!Ref Nursing, and enter your NetID and password.
    Click the My STAT!Ref” tab in the top right.
    Create a free personal account with your username (email address) and password.
    Click the “Temporary Login Account on the “Activate/Renew” tab. Now you can use your STAT!Ref personal account login to access Stat!Ref Nursing from your mobile device for 365 days.

  8. UpToDate

    From a desktop/laptop computer, Go to UpToDate. Enter NetID and password.
    Click the button 'Login/register" from the top right of the screeen and create a free personal account.
    You will receive a confirmation email from UpToDate.
    Download UpToDate apps from your device and login with the username and password from your personal account you just created.
    You will receive a reminder from UpToDate to log in to UpToDate from a desktop/laptop computer every 90 days.

Drug Apps

  1. AccessMedicine Drug Monographs(NetID login)

    From your device browser, login with NetID and password, access drug information including all drug, generics, trade names, drug classes, and patient handouts.

  2. DailyMed (free)

    From your device browser, access DailyMed from National Library of Medicine for high quality information about marketed drugs, including FDA labels (package inserts).

  3. Drug Interactions from UpToDate(NetID login)

    From your device browser, login with NetID and password to UpToDate. Click the tab "Drug Interactions" on the top right. Access Lexi-Comp's Comprehensive Drug-to-Drug, Drug-to-Herb and Herb-to-Herb Interaction Analysis Program.

  4. Drug Shortages (free)

    This app from the FDA allows users to quickly identify current drug shortages, resolved shortages, and discontinuations of drug products, helping health practitioners made quick decisions about patient treatment.

  5. LactMed(free)

    LactMed from National Library of Medicine provides access information about maternal and infant drug levels and possible effects of vaccines and radiologic agents on lactation and on breastfed infants.

  6. LexiComp Online (NetID login)

    From your device browser, login with your NetID and password to access the drug database "LexiComp Online."

  7. Medscape (free)

    The free Medscape app by WebMD, LLC. is a large database for drug information and latest news about drugs.
